– వినయం విధేయత ఉంది కాబట్టే రాముడయ్యాడు. ఈ రాముడు ఫ్యామిలీ పట్ల విధేయుడు. ఆ విధేయత ఏ స్థాయిలో ఉంటుందనేది మీరు సినిమా లో చూస్తారు.
– ఈ సినిమా ట్రైలర్ లో రామ్ చరణ్ కటౌట్ చూస్తుంటే ఐరన్ మ్యాన్ లా కనిపిస్తున్నాడు. ఆ బాడీలో ఈ రోజు ఉన్న మెచ్యూరిటీ నాలుగేళ్ల క్రితం లేదు. అందుకే పర్ఫెక్షన్ కోసం టైమ్ తీసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చింది. ఈ సినిమాకి ఇదే కరెక్ట్ టైమ్.
– నేను చేసిన సినిమాలు ‘భద్ర’ నుండి బిగిన్ అయితే ‘వినయ విధేయ రామ’ వరకు ఫ్యామిలీ ఇమోషన్స్ కే ఫస్ట్ ఫౌండేషన్ ఉంటుంది. ఆ తరవాతే సొసైటీ గురించి.. కథలో ఇంకా స్కోప్ ఉందనుకుంటే తక్కిన విషయాల గురించి ఆలోచిస్తా.
– అజర్ బైజాన్ సీక్వెన్స్ ప్రిపేర్ చేసుకుని రామ్ చరణ్ కి చెప్పినపప్పుడు, అప్పటికే 2 నెలల కన్నా ఎక్కువ టైమ్ లేదు. ఇప్పట్లో కష్టం అని నాకు తెలిసినా, మీరు చేసేస్తారు అని ఒక మాట అనేసి వెళ్ళిపోయా. ఆయన కూడా ఆ మాటని అలాగే తీసుకుని, నన్ను నమ్మాడు కాబట్టే అంతలా కష్టపడ్డాడు.
– ‘వినయ విధేయ రామ’ విజన్ నుండి విజువల్ వరకు ఉన్న మెయిన్ కనెక్టివిటీ రామ్ చరణ్.. ఆయన లేకపోతే ఇది సాధ్యపడేది కాదు.
– సినిమా అంటే పండుగ. పండుగ‌ని అభిమానుల వరకు చేర్చాలంటే ఆర్టిస్ట్ నన్ను నమ్మాలి. వాళ్ళు నన్ను నమ్మాలంటే వాళ్ళకన్నా ముందు నేను పదింతలు ఎక్సర్ సైజు చేసి, వాళ్ళను ఇన్స్ పైర్ చేయగలగాలి. ఈ ప్రాసెస్ లో ఆర్టిస్టుల కన్నా కథలో నేనే ఎక్కువగా ఇన్వాల్వ్ అవుతాను. కథ చెప్పేటప్పుడే ఎఫెక్ట్స్ తో సహా ఎక్స్ ప్లేన్ చేస్తాను.
– మాస్, ఫ్యామిలీ ఎలిమెంట్స్ తో పాటు సినిమాలో ఒక కొత్త పాయింట్‌ని `వినయ విధేయ రామ`లో రైజ్ చేశాం. అది ఆడియెన్స్‌కి రీచ్ అవుతుంది.
– సినిమాలో క్యారెక్టర్స్ కూడా ఎవరు అందుబాటులో ఉన్నారో వారిని తీసుకోవడం జరగలేదు. ఒక I.A.S. ఆఫీసర్, హీరోకి పెద్దన్నయ్య అన్నప్పుడు… ఎవరిని తీసుకున్నా ఈ క్యారెక్టర్ లో పర్ఫెక్ట్ గా సింక్ అవ్వాలి. అందుకే ప్రశాంత్. అలా వరసగా ఏజ్ దగ్గరి నుండి పర్ఫామెన్స్ లెవెల్స్ వరకు ప్రతీది క్షుణ్ణంగా ఆలోచించి డెసిషన్ తీసుకోవడం జరిగింది.
– వివేక్ ఒబెరాయ్‌గారినిని కలిసినపుడు ఆయన అన్న మొదటి మాట ‘నేను చేయను’. నేను ‘రక్త చరిత్ర’ సినిమా చేశాను. మళ్ళీ అదే స్థాయి సినిమా అయితే తప్ప ..నేను ఆలోచించనండి అని చెప్పాడు. సరే సర్.. మీరు చేయకండి కానీ, ఒకసారి క్యారెక్టర్ వినండి అని చెప్పాను. అంతే విన్నాడో లేదో.. డేట్స్ ఇచ్చేశాడు. అదే కమిట్ మెంట్ తో వచ్చాడు, చేసేశాడు.. వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
– నా దృష్టిలో సినిమా అంటే కలర్ ఫుల్ గా ఉండాలి. అందుకే ఎక్కువగా అర్బన్ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ లో కథల్ని ఎంచుకుంటాను. అందుకే ప్రతి సినిమాలో రిచ్ ఫ్యామిలీ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ అన్పిస్తుందేమో..
– ఏ సినిమాకైనా ప్రొడ్యూసర్ దే ప్రధాన పాత్ర. జ్యూస్ నాదైనా మంచి గ్లాస్ ఉండాలి. అందుకే రామ్ చరణ్, నాకు D.V.V. గారైతేనే బెటర్ అని చెప్పడం జరిగింది. సినిమా ఈ రోజు ఇంత అద్భుతంగా వచ్చిందంటే అది ఆయన వల్లే పాసిబుల్ అయింది.
– నాకు రామ్ చరణ్ లో ఎక్కువగా నచ్చింది ఒకటే. ఆయనకీ అసలు తృప్తి ఉండదు. ఎంత సాధించినా ఇంకా ఏదో చేయాలి అనుకుంటూ ఉండడు. సినిమా సినిమాకి ఎదుగుతూనే ఉంటాడు… ఇంకా ఆశగా చూస్తూనే ఉంటాడు.
– నేను చిన్న సినిమాలు చేయలేను. నా నుండి ఆడియెన్స్ ఏదైతే ఎక్స్ పెక్ట్ చేస్తున్నారో అది 100% ఇవ్వాలి అనే నేననుకుంటా. అవతల ఎక్స్ పెక్టేషన్స్ ఒకలా ఉండి, మ‌న ప్రొడ‌క్ట్ ఇంకోలా ఉంటే మ్యాచ్ అవ్వదు.. అందుకే నేను చిన్న సినిమాలు చేయను. ఒకవేళ నేను బయోపిక్ చేసినా, అందులో కూడా దమ్ము కంపల్సరీ గా ఉంటుంది.
– ఏ హీరోతో సినిమా చేసినా, ఆ హీరోకి అభిమానినై చేస్తా. చరణ్ కోసం సినిమా రాసుకున్నప్పుడు కూడా ఫ్రంట్ సీట్లోకూర్చుని చూస్తున్నట్టుగా ఫీలై కథ రాసుకున్నా. ప్రతి హీరోకి అదే చేస్తా. ఇది కూడా అలాంటి సినిమానే.
